OldHairyOne :
I came on to this video thinking it was gonna be crap, especially when he said 'no formal music training'.
But it was good. POSTED: 03/29/2011 - 07:37 am / quote |

I thought this was going to have QOTSA content. I am disappoint. I am also disappoint in Bayside for even using that as the title for their song.
But the song is actually good, and the lesson was good as well. POSTED: 03/29/2011 - 12:15 pm / quote |

Jack is one of my guitar heroes! I wish he would put out more tutorials for his Bayside tracks. POSTED: 03/30/2011 - 12:06 am / quote |

This song sounds decent and I didn't know this band until this video..
Dynamic tune, pretty simple and for me, it's fun enough to grab my axe =)

I get that there's always going to be some songs with similar names, but calling a song 'Sick, Sick, Sick' is just lazy. POSTED: 03/31/2011 - 02:52 pm / quote |

the guitarwork in this is actually pretty cool.
It's a shame you can't even hear it in the original. I mean sure, it's there but it's so insanely quiet no one is going to notice it. POSTED: 04/06/2011 - 03:27 pm / quote |

This is a good lesson, I just wish he went into more detail about what he was pressing and what type of pedal he is using. I am new to guitar and that first part after the octave chords ...it is the 12th strum that he does. He doesn't explain it and I cant seem to see what he is doing there.
Anyway, in my opinion they can call it whatever they want.
If anyone can tell me the distortion he is using, and what he is doing on that part it would be very helpful. thank you. POSTED: 04/07/2011 - 01:58 pm / quote |
