UG.TV is thrilled to present the first of 3 lessons from Florida metal kingpins Black Tide. In this first installment, vocalist/lead guitarist Gabriel Garcia shows us how to play their single "Shout." The track comes off the band's Light From Above album which was released last year.

Check out the album version of "Shout" at the band's UG profile.

That's pretty much the best tutorial I've seen in as while. They need some sort of marker/line to denote when exactly each note gets played, though.

have you noticed that the entire thing is slowed down as well? the tuning has shifted down because of that. you'll have to play it in standard tuning to play along with the song.

Oh wait a minute, you're right. It is in D Standard. Dunno why they said it was standard in the video.

age has nothing to do with skill level. a person playing for 5 years and is 30 has about the same skill as a person whose 15 and has played for 5 years

In the "Shout" bass lesson video, Zakk stated that they play in E Standard for live gigs, versus the studio D Standard.

Great Lesson! It did not show how to play Solo B or the fill in right after the first chorus (x2). Besides missing those parts to the song great lesson, great band!
