Forgot to mention ... With James Hetfield style I ment from "Kill 'em all" all the way to "The Black album" ... He has some killer riffs on all those records! Love that style ... Also Robb Flynn has killer riffs ... especially in the new MH album "The Blackening" ...

Ok, I have a question here for you, Kris. Why do you fret your power chords with the first finger and the pinky? Petrucci does that also and I've never understood why.

I can't watch the video. Whenever i press play it just loads awhile than shows me options to click two older videos. Then it always times out after pressing download the video. I even tried saving target, but that doesnt work either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

hey kris..your videos have such an inspiration to me..i used to see guitarists like kirk hammett and think 'i could never play like that', but your awesome vids have really kicked my learning into gear and skyrocketed my confidence. Now i walk into guitar shops and throw a couple of whammy bar harmonics and arpeggios around, and everyone turns around and just stares. Just wanted to say thanks, and keep up the great work!

kriss, my dear "svenska bror" i got big probleme when i up to speed, its noisy and not fluid... but with clean its perfekt.
in fact, i play better without distortion.. but i really wanted to do crazy licks fast with dist on(without get get string noise and make its "liquid").. got any tips?? ty UR a NICE guitarplayer

have controle over ur picking first, u pick the stringswith ur pick and ur thumb, but u have to find the "g-spot", that mean u have to find place where to pick that make ur guitar
scream, its a column on pinch harmonic i recommenad u to read it, name of the column is how to make your guitar scream, or sumthing like that

Well I would not say better - but different. The Ibanez would definately give me more compact bottom, sound-wise. The strat (and the single coils) gives me a different kind of sound defintion - which makes all the little tweaks (=bends, and screams) sound a lot better (to me!).

MY ibanez suck, its an RG almost like kriss, it have good tremolo arm, nice pickups, easy to play on it.. good guitar.. but i had 5 mounth, i have changed my tremolo arm, and the strng lock, and now the color of the guitar is falling, be carefull guys

So so they actually let you download it and save it on your computer or what? its just that the computer i'm on right now is really slow and it'd work better for me to download it and save it and then watch it...

Hi, am new to this site, anyways this is a really cool lesson. The only thing is that last lick that i'm trying to pull off, i can get the notes, but i've always had problems with strings ringing in the lower frets after a pull off. Any advice on how to clean this up? Thanks!

During the third chunk, at the 2p0 part at the A string, then the 0h1h2 part at the B string, how do you stop the empty A string from ringing once you go into 0h1h2?

hey Kris, i wanted to thank you a lot for posting this lesson. it took me a while to be able to play chunk 2 at speed, but i stuck with it till i learned it. i am still cleaning up my sound a bit, but i have the speed down for sure. before i practiced this lesson, my speed hit a plateau that i could not move beyond. i just needed the proper motivation to stick with something, and your video provided that. thanks a lot for helping me get past a road block. it means a lot to me!
