PabloGilberto :

Could do with a better sound, its far too muddy...
Amps arent even mic'd up, all I can hear is noise and strings.
Shame, looks like it could have been quite original.

Way to muddy. way way way to muddy. I bet there were great ideas in there I wish I could've been able to decipher from the mud that is now coating my ear drums.

brush200400 :

sounds like absolute shit. if youre going to make heavy, technical (not in this example), non-chord tone riffs at least make them musical

dasfrazz :

there is probably a market for this and its probably challenging and fun to play so i can see why they play it, but it sounds like shit

Flariduh :

wtf at the total born of osiris reference. then the total acacia strain reference(total riff copy). then the psyopus(crappy band) sounding riffs...

Tried getting into the CD, but couldn't. I really like the clean parts, though.

i can't hear half of what they play because of the speed, distortion and overall mess in how they compose their music. waste of time & energy.

Sean Duffy :

Yeah, their sound on this video is pretty terrible I must say. Their tone is really bad, and the amps really should be mic'd up.
Sounds alot better on the studio version though, check out the link that xXCRA1GXx posted.

SamuraiLP :

The sudden clean-ness that really doesnt pertain to anything shows me they dont really take music all to seriously

POSTED: 07/31/2009 - 02:47 pm / quote |
the_messenger66 :

it's like they both said, "ok, you write one part, and i'll write another" and then they didn't even think to check to see if the matching up right before recording this....

POSTED: 07/31/2009 - 06:17 pm / quote |
dustyboy316 :

The only part I really liked was the clean. They just need to get better at writing songs.

It starts sounding a bit better in the middle, if you've made it through :P

I seen them live. Its interesting music to listen to but its definitely an acquired taste. The vocalist is amazing live.

suggy88 :

It definitely takes a couple listens to figure out what's going on in their songs. But once i did i really really liked them. Every time i see them live my brain still goes numb. I love this band!

cenestpas! :

i like it, really original
sickk riffs

POSTED: 08/01/2009 - 05:06 pm / quote |
Seref :

It sounded original, and I could have possibly liked it if it weren't for the overly-muddy sound. But I guess that's their thing, so w/e.

Mullen2105 :

SOOOO repetitive! and why is the guy on the left using an ENGL head, jeff loomis and chris broderick use ENGL because they shred, this guy isnt worthy.

grindxgarr :

you guys dont know anything. its like you cant handle the fact they are playing fast. open your ears, listen and follow along you homos. i can easily decifer whats going on.

You, sir, are an ignorant ass. Accept that some people dont find beauty in dissonance, grow up, and listen to what you want to.
I would like this if it wasnt stupidly muddy, and fairly unsynhronised to any form of music. Its far too avant garde for me, and probably others too.

Tl;dr - Shut up and enjoy, instead of flaming others for not enjoying the muddy flaccid playing.

Oh God I wish they wore Ed Hardy and used the pentatonic scale! I love Slash!

saw these guys live, cant really tell what their polaying, clarity isnt that great. Very technically proficient tho thats for sure, their drummer is nuts. I think their too much like Dillinger Escape Plan tho. This vid quality is garbage.
