It's not power metal. It's just plain metal. Jamie Hooper said that cause there's way too many metal style and it just doesn't make any sense anymore. Cause if they had a style, it would be like; Death Thrash Power Speed Melodic name'em metal. So it's just plain metal.

No im pretty sure 3 inches of blood in classified as power metal because of their "epic" type feel of their music and their lyrical themes, but im not entirely sure

I don't know, they certainly got a ton of their sound from power metal. But I personally never thought of their lyrical content as epic. Wich for me, has been the ultimate decider of what is and isn't power metal.
The vibe I always got from their lyrics was just pure violence. And I mean that in a good way, just not in a power metal way.
Either way I love them.
