While in Nashville to review his full line of new signature Gibson Les Pauls, Slash took time to give a full interview, reflecting back on his amazing career.

Here he talks about how he put Velvet Revolver together and why their creative chemistry comes so natural.

â€œA lot of people thought [Velvet Revolver] was a throw-together super group that was supposed to make a lot of money,â€ Slash says in the clip. â€œBut it wasnâ€™t anybodyâ€™s intention to do anything else other than make a good rock and roll band.â€

The link is right, just the space between the a and the b in Tablature is not. I love Slash, I wish i was good enough to do a video...hope the lucky soul who gets it deserves it.

Ugh, Slash is so goddam overrated. He's entirely built on image. He couldn't play guitar for his life. Lets get John Petrucci to come and kick his ass.

Not only are you an *******, but an idiot as well. Such a horrible combination. You are comparing apples and oranges. They are BOTH FRUIT! (BOTH PLAY GUITAR!). Slash plays a COMPLETELY different genre than Petrucci. I hope Slash all the sudden shreds lightyears around Herman Li and Petrucci, and then sticks it to all the *******s like YOU.

Can't wait to see Slash's solo!

Been working on that little riff, it's a nice warmup.

how can you say that?! Slash is one of the most talented and influencial guitarists on the planet. he has come up with some of the most distinctive riffs in the rock world and inspired countless people to play. I'm guessing you mean people like herman li would shit on him, sure he's fast but his playing feels empty. Its not always about the speed but also the feel and passion.

Slash is my favorite guitarist and I dont give a **** what anybody else thinks. I started playing guitar because of him.

Jeez, everytime someone mentions the name "Slash" everyone starts arguing. You want to pick on someone for being an over-rated guitarist, go talk about keith richards, cuz I mean at least Slash can play, he's not a super guitarist like Petrucci, but he's better than a 6th grader on his first lesson, whom keith richards is NOT.

Slash's playing can bring chills to my arms and no Guitarist can do that except Slash, that guy is amazing!.

Slash can play fast and any faster it sound slike your hitting the same notes and being repetative. I hate people who play fast for the sake of playing fast, Slash's solos all compliment his songs. people like Vai and Satriani are novelty guitarists nothing more, they don't have a musical bone in their body, they are very good but musical they are not.

Slash's career and resume speaks for itself so **** off haters.

Slash was in GNR he would literally shit on them back. I don't care if you can hit 30 notes a second... do they sound good? People who can't make a few notes work for them have to cheese out and play fast garbage.

To all the 30 note shredders, 1 good note is better than 30 mediocre notes.

let me just say from a guitar players point of veiw slash can rock out some s**t, as well as others.like Kirk Hammett,Tony from Black Sabbath, and hate to say eddie van hallen. Me personaly velvet revolver sucks worst than guns n roses. So bad move on slash

I love slash!
He's amazing guitarist, he plays with lots of feeling. (unlike Herman Li, he just plays like a hyperactive 12-years-old kid on heroin...)
Like everyone here, Slash influence me...
And unlike everyone here, I like Velvet Revolver!

to paraprase William Zinser - two guitarist may be equally proficient. The one with tastse will put every note to useful work in telling his or her story; the one without taste will drench us in ripples and other unnecessary ornaments.
