The members of Atreyu found their inner 80’s rockers on the band’s latest CD Lead Sails Paper Anchor, a record that is chock full of riffs and melodic solos.
When we chatted with guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel at the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos Tour, the two discussed what the inspiration was behind all of the nostalgic 80’s riffs, and it turns out that the bandmates are coming from 2 very different places musically.
Let’s just say that one loves Slayer and the other prefers The Scorpions.
I think they are making changes to their sound (especially Alex's pitch/tone) for the better.
And they arent real flashy as some other bands..*cough*A7X*cough*. Miguel has to be a "tone-*****" look at some of his guitars.
