It seems it's not so much his short answers but the lack of energy and enthusiasm he puts into them.

what i dont understand with the "downpiking" in waking the demon is if its that hard to do it all down picked then do it alternate picked like i do, u stil get the same crunch because of the way the riff is written

Bullet for my Valentine is probably the only metalcore band I don't like... They just have this... Punkrock feel to it.

You can hear the difference when you down pick it, instead of alternate pick it.

this guy isn't the singer. some people don't get that. anyways... just saw them thursday in Long Beach. Awesome. Avenged hometown show kicked ass.

possibly, but i everytime play alternate, because some riffs are 240 tempo and its impossible to play with downpicking

he doesnt' sing. It's matt tuck, their other guitarist, sings lead, and jay james their bassist, sings backup, padge doesn't really do much singing as the lead guitarist

If you want to alternate pick it that's fine but the only reason anyone is going to criticise down picking it is if they can't downpick it themselves =P It does sound different down picked and if that is how the band play it, when covering the song wouldn't you ideally want to be down picking it to get the same sound?
