When you look at this year’s roster for the Taste Of Chaos Tour, Idiot Pilot is in a genre all of its own. As the only two members of Idiot Pilot, Michael Harris and Daniel Anderson have created an electronica-rock hybrid mix that often sounds much larger than you would expect a mere duo to create.

Their latest CD Wolves has attracted attention not only because of its sound, but because it also has some impressive names attached to the project. Travis Barker and Coheed & Cambria’s Chris Pennie show up as guest drummers, while Mark Hoppus acted as co-producer on the sophomore release.

Ultimate-Guitar caught up with Harris and Anderson at the Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour to discuss what it’s like to have a long list of respected musicians lining up to work with them.

The idea of their band is very compelling, but the execution is just horrible. I love different elements being mixed into the metal genre, but they just aren't good.

In Regina they didnt even pay neither did Bullet or Bless the Fall kinda pissed me off but A7X also wasnt that great well they were great but ****in cocky bastards Atreyu shoul have played ALOT longer and been the headliner!

I love the idea of the band, but most of the songs come off as.. umm well yeah.. but yet I like a couple of their slower songs, thats about it.

In Minneapolis they played and it was not the best thing out there. Everyone I was standing next to were like wtf. The lead guitarist had his finger cut or something and it was bleeding. They kindof had false applause because the Bullet for my Valentine sign came up during their song, gave them false hope that they were doing great! haha. I got to give them respect for going up there though and playing. If Rockstar or whoever put the bill together felt that they were fit to be on the bill, then they got their name out there and are having fun playing
