Kanthras :

Another great shredder goes to pop music. A shame, IMO.

Pop? How can someone call that pop? Thats true rock'n roll. Maybe Satch has done some "non-shredding" stuff with chickenfoot but I dont think that he has abandoned his solo career, at least yet.

Good sir, explain yourself! Exactly when was Satriani a shredder? His music has always been somewhat approachable.

Anyways, good rockin' song! Looks like Satch plagiarised himself on that solo. 'Raspberry Jam Delta-V' anyone?

Heh, can you plagiarize yourself??

If that's pop than ACDC is the greatest pop band of all time.

MonsterOfRockGood sir, explain yourself! Exactly when was Satriani a shredder? His music has always been somewhat approachable.

That's certainly true. He's always been fairly popular. But his music was always fairly shreddy, IMO. I just think his skills are wasted on bands like this. But that's just me and if he enjoys it, good for him.

Nah, AC/DC didn't have poppy harmonised whiney choruses about girlies.

Where do you get off saying Satriani's skills are wasted? Yes, he is a very gifted and skilled guitarist, but listen.. If you were a mind-boggling shredder, the most talented in the world even, what is the point of being able to play like that? Playing guitar has one purpose, and that is to play music. After watching some Chickenfoot official videos, and live videos, it looks like Satriani is having a GREAT time what he is doing, and that's ALL that matters. Nothing is wasted here. Like I said, you can be the greatest shredder in the world, and if you can't make good music, you might as well throw your guitar into a bonfire.
