the album is amazing. totally lived up to all coheed standards. can't wait for the bonus dvd and book, looks like a very unique album altogether.

This full album is streaming at myspace.com/coheedandcambria and it is FANTASTIC Coheed and Cambria are well ahead of their time and their concepts are mind blowing. I love it.

I think I might need to give this album a second listen because at first I really didn't like it. There weren't really any vocal hooks that really grabbed me the first time I listened to any of the songs and that's what I really admired about Coheed's previous efforts.

Same here for me. When you know the lyrics however, especially with a tune like Guns of Summer, it grows on you so quickly. Guns, I absolutely hated, aswell as When Skeletons Live, well. Now I can't stop listening

Go to lyricswiki for the lyrics I transcribed and uploaded there

This album kicks ass. Coheed are awesome as hell, they diserve more recognition than they get.

It took me quite a few listens, but it certainly is growing on me.

The drumming is the highlight tbh.

Yeah, I get a huge shabutie vibe off Guns of Summer.
The whole album is definitely a grower. Takes 3 or 4 to appreciate a lot of the stuff on there. Pearl of the Stars is awesome though.

I think the album would've been their best without the Atticus influence.

Yeah same here. Love the concept though

After their previous releases, this album is kind of a let down. It doesn't have as many catchy hooks or riffs; however, I will give this album kudos for "Pearl of the Stars." That song is awesome!

Pretty. Odd. :

God damn it, the production is horrible on this album. I feel like there's good music under there somewhere, but I can't hear it past the freaking compression and the cymbals. It's cool that they upped the bass a little, but you have to concentrate to even hear Travis, and his organic, flowing leads were one of my favorite parts of Coheed. Hopefully it'll grow on me...

The sound quality is a bit sketchy at times. I really enjoyed this album though and thing it has a bunch of pretty innovative sounds. Just my opinion though.

This album, at first, didn't impress me. But everytime I listened to it I was able to hear a layer of music on the sonic tapistry that I didn't hear before. This music is unlike anything I've heard, there are so many elements here. Truly unique, truly progressive.

yeah haha. when it was first announced i remember it being described as melodic and everything so i was thinking more like god send conspirator-ish music and we get this.
it's really odd and the music doesnt sound equalized or polished all the time but hmm.
err my main factors of dislike are 1. claudio seems to be playing around with his voice A LOT. 2. pennie's drumming is somewhat predictable compared to Eppard's 3. practically all the songs have the song title in the lyrics haha
