wow, what happened to this band? they were one of the first to get me into harder music and eventually metal, and now they're putting out 90's era alt rock?

This indeed isn't exactly the DBS I used to know.

well this is certainly disappointing... wtf happened? hopefully this isn't representative of the album and it's just a 'single.' it's catchy and everything, decent song... just nothing what i expected from DBS at all. the other video for i sing for you is a little closer but still not really what i was hoping for. i just never thought they'd go in this direction.

and i'm not one of those people that hate on a band for changing, but i never expected this from such an original and crazy band like DBS. i guess i'll have to just shut up and give it a chance.

ya man, they deserve a chance for sure. they have been one of my all time favs for about 9 years now, and i have also gone from loving and hating a lot of what they offer up. like a really annoying gf that really delivers in bed, there is definately more good than bad. and DIMOF reemphasizes this with some (not quite) "90s alt rock" but also some effing crazy shit too.

So they wrote a ballad.... If you haven't heard the rest of the album, try it.. it's F--kin tough.. Dan Palmer shreds harder than any other album.. This is an album for DBS fans. the lyrics in every song are something that the kids that claim "DEATH FOR LIFE" can be proud of.

No matter what the band puts out, some people will love it, and some people will hate it. It comes with the territory. You can't please everyone at the same time. They're still a badass band. They have a lot of badass songs behind their belt and they put on insane live shows. They're still my all-time favorite band. Death for life!

This is the first song i've listened to of theirs so i cant really give too much of an opinion but, i think it could be lyrically better/the approach. Musically, sounds reasonably covert.

yeah i just got the album and i'm not disappointed. this song has actually grown on me quite a bit as well. pretty good for a 'ballad' if thats what you want to call it. but overall the album is pretty damn good. thank god.

hmm new approach?

I definitely adored his piece in Buckethead's "Botnus"...After that I picked up Death For Life and liked them.

So far I've only heard this song but I think I should leave a little wiggle room? who knows haha

Come on. They're just trying for something different. Hell it's hard to keep playing the same style of music, it gets boring. They're still DBS and a true fan would stick to them, even though they might change a bit. It's not like they suck now. This song is pretty cool.
