My God, that is so good it sounds like a BACKING musician!

I want him and Andy McKee to play together one day.

Erik Mongrain is the comteporary acoustic guitar prodigy. These songs can be a bit mundane, but he has better than those in his repertoire.

Together with Michael Hedges, he's my favorite acoustic guitar player.

This is truly progressive guitar play!

I dont think he and Andy McKie compare at all.

Airtap! is his most famous peice, i had a video of him showing how to play it but i don't see how thats meant to work because most of his stuff is improv.

He's good. For sure. But I'm not blown away in the slightest. This is nothing extraordinary!

technically hes great, but his songwriting skills are less than impressive. And the former is much more important to me, personally.

pretty sure you mean latter not the former, and he's incredible, there's a serious lack of respect for this dude's skills being shown here.

He's ok, but it gets old real fast. Tommy Emmanuel and Andy Mckee are much better, especially because they're comparable in their styles.

I think this is some great talent right here. His music is supposed to be soothing and not to party to. So those who complain about the length should learn to chill out every now and again. Awsome to have on in the background when you're talkin to friends in the lounge or whatever. Peace.

Are some of you people ****ing retarded! This guy is mindblowing! His music is the type that hits you on a deeper level. Imagine hearing this in a movie, it would make any scene a million times more emotional.

I'm impressed with his skill and guitar techniques. But I can't help being left with the feeling of 'when is the song going to start?' And I did honestly watch the full performance.
