I can't ever get past the chorus or the line about a shotgun and not a six gun. I like 5fdp a little. I mean way to bite the f+@# out of old Pantera, now Bad Co. too. Write your own songs guys. The original is way better and that's crazy because I like remakes. They butchered this song to death, five finger death. Oh and they got their name from that Kill Bill move five finger exploding palm blah blah blah. Trying to use the troops to justify butchering a song is bulls+#T. Write originals or go back to playing bars where you belong!!! Just disgusting!!! You couldn't hold Bad Co.'s balls. And I don't really like them but they did their OWN SONG way better, not a chopped up metal rip off that F*&#s up the lyrics in the first verse. Pathetic.

First of all, they didn't fsk up the lyrics, if you listen all the way through, they changed "six-gun" to "shot gun", and "the six-gun sound" to "the death punch sound" Which ya know, only makes sense when you have the nuts to listen to the whole thing before you bash it.
Second, they don't use the troops, they are massive supporters.
Third, Pei mei's exploding heart technique is quite different than a death punch.
Fourth, take your hate somewhere else and that's a nice picture of two guys kissing you have on your profile.

I may have been a little bit hypercritical in my review of this video but the song sounds horrible. I have listened all the way, its hard listening pass the first verse that's all. I just identify with the original and this is no replacement. In classical music you would make a song of a similar variety as an answer to someone elses mastery, not do a rough slightly changed version. That's all I'm saying if your gonna do it do it right or don't do it at all.

oh, and just cuz this is funny i felt like sharing. so i showed my mom this song months ago when the album came out, and she even likes it better than the original. and she loves the original. ive turned her into a death punch fan lol

I actually hate this website sometimes. Sometimes, it feels like some of the people on here just comment on things to piss others off. If you don't like the video, or the song fair enough, theres a button at the top of your browser thats a backwards arrow, click it. Obviously, you should be aloud to give you opinion, but most of you do it in a malicious horrible way. Of course the song is going to sound better from bad company, and no its not a terrible cover at all, yeah it doesnt have the same feeling but that doesnt make it a terrible cover at all. The instruments aren't bad, the vocals aren't bad in the slightest, so apart from the feel of the song, whats there to complain about? your never going to get a cover exactly the same, differant people, differant sound.

Winged136 5FDP only updated the song, six guns aren't around anymore this is 2010 not 1867. eyeofthestorm08 is exactly right different band, different sound. Are you going to complain about Metallica covering Whiskey in the jar? Its not exactly the same as the original.

its an ok cover. not great but not bad either. its deffinatly not as emotional and heartfelt as bad companys original version. but i give em props for not totally slaughtering a classic, like nonpoint did with in the air tonight. im not a big death punch fan, but i do think that their originals are way more appealing. as for the song in and of itself. it was a decent attempt at the song. hopefully the next song they try to cover will fit the band a little more rather than just picking a song out of a bag to cover. id give it 6 out of 10

i think its awsome ....nothing can ever be taken away from the original....Bad co. is and always wil be one of the the greatest out there.....but from metal band to pay truibute to the classics is a great honor.....thier just showing us what the were raises on like we were and that cool as hell

It was awesome that they filmed that with us soldiers here in Iraq, regardless of talent they came out to support us and boost our morale a bit which shows and deserves a lot of respect! \m/

Thought it was a great cover. They played in live back in 08 when I saw em. Great live band. They did this song justice in my opinion.

I honestly don't like the band bad company and I love 5fdp, strongly, and to some of the posts I've read I think there is just a rift in people's opinions of what rock should sound like and what it shouldn't. This song is less of a cover and more of a song that was inspired by the song Bad Company. If you listen to both back to back they are similar but not the same. Both are good songs but I like this one better. But I can definitely see where most people would like the original instead of the cover better.

Oh and Wing you are a f.u.c.king douche bag prick with no sense of reality. Go back to your beginner guitar and learn the standard tuning order one more time.

Wow. First time on this site. Couple of ya'll are ANGRY people. But, that's cool. I've been angry before. I was just searching stuff on the cover cause I just heard the original on the radio for the first time in a while. I freakin LOVE the remake and the original. But I love them for different reasons. I've been in the Marine Corps for 14 years. I'm not a grunt(infantry), but I have been to Iraq a couple times. The original strikes me as a melow, laid back throw-back and makes me think of gunslingers drifting through the old west. Pretty cool, but the new one really hits me cause it just sounds grittier and more "modern" and makes me think of my time deployed with my fellow Marines. It's wierd, but I experience the same feelings between the original and remake versions of "Turn the Page". Anyway, that's my two cents worth. Take it or leave it. BTW, thanks to ALL the artists of EVERY genre who take the time to get out to the combat areas and entertain the troops. We love the chance to be entertained when we are away from our beloved country. It gives us a taste of home.
