The first single from Imperial Leisure’s long-anticipated sophomore album ‘Death to the One Trick Pony’ will be released on March 14th.
Capturing the beautiful chaos that is their infamous live show ‘Dead Model’ is a good indication of the album to come. Darker and grittier than its predecessor ‘The Art of Saying Nothing’, the party is still very much in full swing, though the casualties may be racking up!
Managing to be both intense and dance-able and insanely catchy, it carries the Imperial Leisure guarantee of crowd and band alike having the time of their lives.
The single is accompanied by a great and ghoulish zombie-flick video by director Brendan Cleaves, and featuring Front magazine favourite model Von.
Saw these guys live at Norwich UEA supporting Less than Jake, really good live cant encourage people to go catch a show.
When i saw them they seemed to have a couple other vocalists that arent in this.
but still pretty catchy, not as ska-y as i remember.
I saw them in London supporting Gym Class Heroes and they were really entertaining live. The other 2 vocalists have left now. And they did used to be a lot more ska-ish. But this is still an interesting new direction.
