Part II video coming soon - and will cover more of the "why" and theory of the modes. For now, have fun getting the shapes under your fingers!

Why... just... why?

Why not just teach a lesson on the 7 box shapes for the major/minor scale, rather than trying to drag modes into the mix? If people don't even know their major scale up and down the neck, they're probably not ready to be learning modes yet.

Not that bad...just a different way of looking at modes.

I tend to just use the major and minor "shapes" and move them to different spots/keys.

You're a fun and concise teacher, but as Glen'sHeroicAct has said, there was no need to bring modal names into this lesson.

just google the tabs of the modes. done!
he just explained what they're needed for..
