I gotta look further onto his material, but judging by the previous party song called 666 in the whatever and this song based on what he calls a beautiful love story, the guy doesn't seem much inspired.
You know what, forget about all of the rest of you. He went out there, wrote a song, and sang it in front of all of you. The guys got balls, which you all don't have if you have to hide behind a computer screen in order to talk bad about someone to make you feel better about yourselves. Great job dude.

1) Presenting a composition to the anonymous and invisible audience of internet does not require "balls", there's like thousands of wannabe artists who post at least monthly their material on the main web-medias like Youtube or DaylyMotion, or Facebook.
2) Bringing criticiscm to an artist is way more constructive than saying bullshit like "you are flawlessly talented, carry on and don't change a single thing" (of course, I said criticism, not retarded stuff like "this guy suuuuucks !!").
3) The guy wrote that he suffered any piece of shit life can bring you, and the way he talked about it wa
was like "I'm special and talented", which I don't think he is at all. He writes shallow stuff that any high school poser with a Fender paid by his parents could handle.

Alot of people on this site do have original songs on Youtube and other sites, most of which show a greater level of musicianship and maturity than this.
People are always going to discuss their opinions on forums such as this, what would be the point if people only put positive comments?
This guy seems arrogant, his lyrics are terrible and his singing is abysmal. What's to like?
Well - i dont have any songs written by myself on the web - but seriously, if i ever do so ill be playing the instrument correctly. He doesnt even ring all strings. Sorry - back to school and retry.
....Why is he on UG?? It's just another kid on YouTube posting his mediocre song. Granted I don't have any songs on video but that's because mine, like his, probably shouldn't be.
Not a fan of the songwriting here, it is way too direct to the subject matter and I think it's kinda weird writing a song about two people he never knew personally being in love and singing about their relationship, singing the names of the guys in the band and using song names for lyrics was kinda shitty and unoriginal from a lyrical point of view. The only thing I did quite like was the guy's voice, pretty raw vocals, with better songwriting and a band behind him, he could do alright as a singer.
Wow just aweful. I'm currently working on a song right now and its alot better than this, in my oppinion. I wouldn't just post it on the net though. I'd like play it for people around a fire first to see what people think.
This guy probably did that, but he was probably drunk or his friends were, and didn't want to tell him it sucked and is composed with like 3-4 sentences lol. I guess I should post on here I'd have a good chance of getting front page if this is what make front.
Everyones so f?cken negative these days!! Sure it wasn't the best song, it was just ok, but just enjoy it instead of analizing every single inch of the song! It seems like in order for people to enjoy songs now adays songs need to meet strict standards and any less and it's unlistinable, just enjoy the music!! ok?
I saw this video yesterday and I wasn't all the impressed by it at first glance. But to be honest it made me laugh how many times i caught myself singing this song. I think as a community we musicians tend to be a very judgmental bunch. There are times i find myself unable to enjoy a song because I'm to caught up in critiquing someones technique or style. Well you know what Matt, good job. You wrote a very catchy song about something that influenced you. And for that sir, I thank you for sharing it.
