About the video:

Consumerism and the ugliness of capitalism ruined this country and brainwashed its people that the American Dream is something entitled as opposed to something you have to work very hard for. Most music videos flaunt the excess spending and decadent lifestyles. This video shows the people sold the wrong idea of the American Dream as well as the people that will never have a fair shot at it. This is about looking at what you have and being thankful instead of looking at what other people have and wanting more.

i'm pretty sure he's a dork from Pittsburgh PA, and if i'm right he was on a band called Cherry Monroe (Marilyn Manson did it first guys). they were crap, somehow got on Universal Records, and subsequently got dropped.
