It’s easy to get distracted by bright, glowing objects, particularly when they’re attached to something as innately awesome as a guitar. This is precisely the reason why we made a stop at the DR Strings booth, which was showcasing the NEON™ line.

We chatted with Tom Klukosky the inventor of the K3 coating, to get a little more insight into the makings of the eye-catching strings.

looks cool, i got some black strings by some company i cant remember. The coating came off of them in about a week where i picked and it looked terrible :p. They sounded okay though

I got the green ones on my guitar, they look cool but if you'r using a pick you will peel the paint off in no time.

My friend had a pair of the red ones way back when and they were pretty bad ass, the color wore off too quick but it's nice while it's there.
