Making the video was much harder than we expected. We hadn't played a show before shooting the video in about 3 months, so we were all out of shape. The live shots took most of the day (it was a one day shoot) and it was about 103 degrees out. It was hot enough wearing layers and layers of clothing, with the exception of Sam, (bassist) but going crazy enough to make it look awesome in 103 degree weather wears you out instantly. Not to mention, the camera actually overheated quite a few times because of the heat. After our first run through the song, I was laying on the ground gasping for air, Sam (bass) and Chuck (guitar) were doing the same, and Ben (vocals) was throwing up on the side of the road. It really must have been a scene for people driving by to see people dressed like us dying in the gutter.
The concept was pretty basic. We wanted a cheap way to show insanity. The candid idea was originally thought of by our director Greg. We kind of expanded on that as we went. Nothing was too planned until we actually shot it. For example, the football game scene was literally spur of the moment. Greg approached us and said there was a football game down the street and asked if we would be down to invade it. Obviously we said yes.
Overall we're all very pleased with the final product. I think it captures our intensity well and shows some of our personalities too. We're really excited to hear and see peoples reactions to it.
I love it, better than alot of stuff out there, nice job I give it a 10...As someone who loves music (probably more than women) I cant deny a good sounding tune.
