"When we wrote 2012 I knew right away that I wanted the song to be very intense," notes singer
Tyler "Telle" Smith. "I wanted it to be something that was straight forward and that anybody could get a pretty clear meaning of the song. I had watched the movie "Law Abiding Citizen" right before that took place and it was fresh in my mind at the time. I thought that movie was amazing but very powerful. So when the music was coming together that is the idea that came to me. I wanted to put into words the way that movie made me feel from the main characters point of view. It's pretty brutal. It has since gone on to be the most popular song off of our latest album Deceiver and we wanted to make a video for it but really wanted it to be as visually intense as the music and vocals. When Kevin (McVey, Director) hit us up about doing a video and sent over his idea for it, we thought it sounded perfect. The video focuses on a prisoner who turns on his doctor and the guards/orderlies/nurses who did experiments on him and pretty much kills everyone. It was an awesome time shooting it and we hope you enjoy it!"
Look out for the video soon! The band heads out on their first headline U.S. tour next month, before heading to Europe with
We Came As Romans, and a full summer on
Vans Warped Tour. Get dates
