Lol, I don't think they're trying to be THAT deep. This song has food references. But still amazing lyrics by Alex, and I think it's great that they're stepping outside their comfort zone of power chords and fast time signatures. Yeah I dont know. You'd be pretty hard pressed to find a bigger Arctic Monkeys fan than me. But this clip... I think I hate it.
I loved the simplicity of clips like "The View from the Afternoon" and "Leave before the lights come on". No special effects, no tricks, just a little story told by the film. And that worked well with their music because telling stories is what they do best.
