The music is good though, I saw these guys live and they put on a good show even after the singer walked off stage for some reason..

To say someones band has no feeling in their music is saying a lot, these guys are semi-popular for a reason, and its most likely because they had more than a feeling about their genre and sound. Check out "the day i left the womb" by these guys and then post about feeling (whether what hes talking about is true or not, it's talking about some pretty real shit.) And again when I saw these guys in concert all the drummer (slayer t-shirt) wanted to talk about outside the venue was slayer, so he obviously has some respect for the band. Perhaps they just didn't want to be known as another slayer type band? I'm not here sticking up for the band, but i don't understand why this genre of music takes so much heat, if you don't like the music don't take it personally against the band members. I personally think a lot of slayer type, metal music is garbage, but you wont find any posts from me on the front page slayer thread flaming the band or anyone similar. People like them and I've come to accept that, it may be hard to believe that is a music choice loved by so many, but whatever.

Notice also, they play Dean guitars, which are also considered "cool" (no offence to Dime, Batio, Cooley, Sanders, etc.)

I have to point out that regardless of what anyone thinks of them, they haven't shown they can play guitar well at all, their singer likes to add a crack in his voice at the end of way too many lines, and yes, he does kinda look like a girl. That's unbiased opinion. The girls were prob the best part of the vid, cause the music sure wasn't. I like some punk (maybe even a little pop) stuff, but this didnt sound that good at all.

Ok, this is pretty weaksauce, and here's why. These guys put way to much to much time into their appearence and wear tight pants and have mullets... (hair metel anyone?). Too much emphasis on the look and not the music. Their riffs are all harmonized waterd down metalcore and hardrock boring riffs. "Dying is your latest fasion" c'mon. Seriously guys? Think up something a little better. Probably the worst part about this song is the solo. I love sweep-picking when used correctly (necrophagist) but to me it seems like it was simply tacked on in order to give the appearence of actual musical talent or maybe to be as metal as the guys on their shirts. This is the new hair metal.

honestly dude...cmon it goes for me as well as many other musicians i know that even though i may listen to heavy and technical music and so on and so forth but i may not necessarily enjoy playing it. i personnally dont care for their music in the least bit but cmon at least give them respect enough for know how to play a f***ing chord progression

listen to the outro lead, i'd say he has some technical influences because you don't hear that too often in post-hardcore music.

you know also if you went to the warped tour you had a chance to meet them and they are quite awesome. they have developed their own style of sound that no one else quite has. i love the band i've been supporting them since the deceision between i can swing a mic and there's no sympathy for the dead.

unfortunately a band's image does affect how i feel about the music, because when i'm listening to them i imagine them playing...so when they look stupid as all hell it makes it hard to listen to the music.
