Hey Kole thanks for this contest. May I suggest for you to do the rest of your videos in the room you did this video. It sounds much better.

Great! I'm a runner up. I feel its my duty to say that I'm Lithuanian and there are many great musicians in this not well known country .
Ok, with advertising being dealt with, I have to complain a bit, because my nickname isn't Unle, it's Unie! (Yes, I know that writing everything in capitals has its downsides).

And I would like to give this advice for everyone here at UG, who are struggling with songwriting or harmonization: you must find a style in which you want to compose first! Every great composer has its own style (or styles), which he knows and understands perfectly, and therefore he can create intricate, pleasant and smooth music, that doesn't have any unintentional 'odd places'. So that's my cheap advice ;]

Hi I'm Tim Raposo if you wanted to know, and I must say that some really great stuff came out of that contest. My favorites personally were the one's by "Unie" and John Van Loan, because in my opinion they were the least obvious and best use of harmonization.

But 'tis but one man's own thoughts.

Most of them are pretty cool but my favorite by far is Nathan Wolff's. That's some wicked shred.

By the way, did everyone make theirs in like guitar pro or something cuz that's what it sounds like. No problems with that, just wondering.

What did you expect then? :p

I like them all, and I wouldn't have wanted to be in your place, Kole ^^

I mean, I'd love to be able to teach people, but I wouldn't be able to rate something or choose between submissions. I respect and understand your choices and I thank you for the motivation you give us all .

Actually it's an ascending line. Starts on F, G, etc.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to listen to the other submissions. I received so many that I'd be spending at least a few days putting them on my site and then setting the links up. Hope you enjoyed the current ones though!

Maybe because almost all of them are midi files???

And besides, if you don't play any instrument in the song, why the hell would you make it with RSE? It's still computer-played music without any feelings. Just a blueprint for a song.
